Main function of job
Support the Partners and Directors with the service provided to clients, helping to ensure an excellent service is provided efficiently and assisting with development and growth of the services offered.
Main duties
- Day to day responsibility and ownership for the operational delivery of our outsourcing reporting and compliance services.
- Line management responsibilities for wider team (approximately 25 team members currently).

- Become a technology champion for the team ensuring we are keeping up to date with the latest software and developments. Lead the implementation of new software as necessary both internally and also externally when clients request our support and advice.
- Help train the wider team ensuring technical and systems knowledge is kept up to date and CPD requirements are met.
- Support partners to win new work and develop services we provide to clients. The role will have potential to build and maintain a client portfolio as appropriate whilst also overseeing our outsourced accounting services within other partner portfolios. - Monitor financial performance of the Outsourcing service, including our pricing model to ensure pricing is consistent and both competitive and sustainable.
Qualifications / Experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
- 5-10 years post qualification practice experience of providing similar services to clients, ideally having spent time in an Outsourcing management and delivery role.
Systems
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero including their app marketplaces with good awareness of the apps available to enhance both data entry and reporting.
- Knowledge or experience of Silverfin and Dext would be an advantage.
- Strong aptitude and desire for leaning new systems and applications, including larger ERPs used by larger clients.

What will your day-to-day role look like -
This is a newly created role which provides excellent opportunities for personal and career development, growth, and progression. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accounts, including the accompanying tax computations.
- Preparing and completing client VAT returns, including liaising with the client to provide the required information, producing supporting schedules and completing the VAT return by the deadline.
- Assisting with the development of trainees, including reviewing their work and providing feedback.
- Liaising directly with clients to clear queries.
- Adhering to deadlines and pre-determined budgets.
- Working closely with managers and other team members.
What are they looking for -
You will be studying towards the ACCA qualification, and ideally have a minimum of 18 months to 2 years of relevant experience in practice. You will be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within time constraints and deadline and have good organisation skills with the ability to multitask and assist on ad hoc assignments.
