We are delighted to be working with a well-established and friendly firm of Chartered Accountants, who are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team based in Hemel Hempstead.
Position: Senior Bookkeeper
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

What will your role entail?
You will take charge of a prestigious portfolio of clients while collaborating closely with the director, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Independently managing a diverse portfolio of bookkeeping clients
- Directly engaging with clients to address financial and accounting matters
- Maintaining general ledger and computerised accounts for clients
- Conducting bookkeeping tasks up to trial balance
- Processing invoices and overseeing bank reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Direct liaison with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Providing support to junior team members when needed
What experience will you have?
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Proficient knowledge of Sage
- A proactive and can-do attitude
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
