Audit and Accounts Senior

To ensure that client matters are managed promptly, consistently, and to a high standard, meeting all relevant deadlines and supporting senior management in delivering outstanding service to clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Maintain strong, professional client relationships
· Communicate with clients, prospects, and third parties in a professional manner
· Take ownership of audits and accounts preparation for assigned clients
· Stay updated with accounting standards and regulatory changes through reading, research, and training
· Maximise billing and profitability on audit/accounts engagements
· Identify and monitor opportunities for cross-selling additional services
· Provide proactive support to senior team members
· Assist with completing or resolving unfinished tasks
Audit, Accounting, Tax, and Company Secretarial Work:
· Plan, complete, and finalise audits and accounts preparation assignments, including:
· Budget planning and monitoring
· Reviewing the work of junior staff
· Finalising financial statements
· Presenting completed files for review
· Ensure client-approved adjustments are reflected in their accounting systems
· Understand the commercial aspects, such as billing and collections
· Tailor work programmes to align with the client’s business and risk environment
· Ensure timely completion of company secretarial duties, including updating statutory records and filings
Team Leadership and Development:
· Manage and allocate workload effectively within the team
· Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to junior staff
· Identify and resolve queries or issues proactively
· Keep stakeholders informed and ensure early identification and resolution of issues
· Delegate responsibilities with clear expectations and offer timely performance feedback
Communication:
· Regularly update management on progress of work
· Respond promptly to client and internal queries
· Clarify expectations and deadlines to help prioritise tasks
· Resolve client queries and complaints to a high standard
· Draft client communications and documentation as needed
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and communication
Business Development:
· Contribute to firm-wide initiatives for attracting new business
· Identify and pursue opportunities to win new clients
· Maintain knowledge of the firm’s services and promote them to clients
· Assist in preparing fee quotations and proposals
· Support compliance efforts, including the collection of required documentation for anti-money laundering
