Private Client Solicitor

AJ Chambers are excited to represent this excellent law firm who have multiple offices and are looking for a Private Client Solicitor to work out of either their Northampton or Milton Keynes office.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ year PQE, be a confident, hard working individual, who is a great team player and with experience of working a city or medium/ large provincial practice. The Private Client team compliments the firm’s commercial legal services offering by providing a complete solution to the firm’s clientele who consist primarily of Entrepreneurs, including company directors/shareholders. It is essential that the person covering has high net worth experience.

Knowledge of:

• Dealing with HNW clients and handling complex Tax Planning, Wills and Wealth Protection issues
• Lasting powers of attorney
• Trusts, Trust Corporations and Family Investment Companies
• High Value Probates including foreign element and experience of claiming BPR and APR
• Key knowledge of tax and Inheritance tax planning

 

Desirable:

Due to the nature of the work undertaken, it would be desirable to be able to demonstrate experience of the

following:

• Complex Tax Planning
• Trusts (creation, administration)
• Administration of estates with foreign elements
• Corporate/Commercial awareness
• A proven track record in business development and a strong desire to play a key part in maintaining
• the firm’s profile.

 

Key Skills:

• Sound private client legal knowledge, drafting skills and experience with a recognised private
• practice
• A strong ability to lead and manage teams
• Commercial, practical and financial awareness
• Confidence and ability to communicate at senior levels
• Excellent academics and strong ambition for career development
• Excellent interpersonal and marketing skills with the ability to develop contacts for the team and the
• firm
• Team player able to fit into a friendly, busy office.

• Organisational ability
