We are delighted that the transaction we consulted on, between Ad Valorem Group and ETL Global, was awarded the Silver Award for ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2025.

Recruiter Awards 2024

AJ Chambers were a finalist for two categories at the Recruiter Awards 2024.

Our nominations included Recruitment Agency of the Year (20-34 employees) and Best Professional Services Recruitment Agency, which highlights our expertise in these areas.

World Cup-on-Sea ® – charity football event

AJ Chambers are the proud organisers of World Cup on Sea, a 32 team, 7-a-side football tournament, held at the home of Southend United FC. If you would like more information, please email: hello@aj-chambers.com. The tournament is open to professional businesses who are able to field a team of between eight and 13 players.

World Cup-on-Sea has been running since 2019, and has raised over £170,000 for various charities, including YMCA, Great Ormond Street Hospital and HARP Southend.

Essex Big Bash – charity cricket event

Essex Big Bash is an annual T20-format charity cricket match, played between Accountants and Lawyers and has been running since 2024.

The event has featured former cricketers such as Adam Hollioake, Devon Malcolm, Sir Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh. The day provides the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, while enjoying a summer fête style afternoon with family and friends.

Essex Big Bash has raised over £30,000 for Samaritans Southend and Havens Hospices.

Volunteering and CSR

We participate in a variety of community-focused projects, such as:

  • Donated to Havens Hospice via the purchase of elephants from Herd in the City, in Southend-on-Sea.
  • Visit Essex Schools for the Pathway to Employment Programme, to a number of Sixth Form students. An integral part of this programme is the offer of a 10/15-minute interview with a business partner
  • Partner with Career Ready, a mentoring scheme for Sixth Form students
  • Sponsor the Leigh-on-Sea Folk Festival, a local community music and culture event
  • Sponsor the Southend Law Society Champagne Party
  • Members of the Essex Chambers of Commerce
  • Involved in corporate day at Trustlinks where our staff built and painted a fence for the Rochford Arts Festival.
