A leading Top 10 UK accountancy and advisory practice is seeking an experienced VAT Manager or Senior Manager to join their expanding Indirect Tax team. The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing VAT advisory and compliance services to a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. This is a varied and high-profile role, offering exposure to complex assignments and the opportunity to collaborate across teams to deliver wider business solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of VAT clients, ensuring high-quality compliance and advisory services
• Providing commercially-focused VAT advice on complex issues
• Supporting business development and identifying opportunities to grow client relationships
• Working closely with directors and partners on strategic projects
• Coaching and developing junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong UK VAT technical knowledge and experience
• Proven experience managing VAT compliance for a client portfolio
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Experience liaising directly with HMRC and senior client stakeholders
• Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/compliance software
