US/UK Tax Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced dual-qualified US/UK Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio, support strategic technical development, and play a key role in developing junior talent within the team.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality advisory and compliance work while contributing to team growth and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, delegating work appropriately and collaborating with senior team members.
  • Plan, oversee and deliver assignments efficiently, ensuring work meets firm standards and is ready for senior review.
  • Maintain deep and current knowledge of US tax legislation and procedures, actively developing technical expertise.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and resolve complex tax matters when required.
  • Contribute to team knowledge and updates, including drafting internal technical guidance where needed.
  • Support business development efforts, including involvement in client pitches and presentations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, overseeing workflow, coaching their development, and helping resolve challenges.
  • Review work prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and high service standards.

About You

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Hold dual US/UK tax qualifications (e.g., Enrolled Agent and ATT, or equivalent).
  • Have experience preparing, reviewing and filing both UK and US tax returns.
  • Demonstrate people management skills, including coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Are confident with MS Office and tax preparation software for both UK and US compliance.
  • Enjoy sharing knowledge and promoting best practice within a team.
  • Are proactive, approachable, and committed to exceptional client service and building trusted relationships.
