Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager / Manager

Location: Birmingham

The Role

A growing professional services firm is seeking Assistant Managers or Managers to join its expanding Transfer Pricing team.

The team advises a broad range of clients across multiple sectors on projects throughout the transfer pricing lifecycle. Successful candidates will gain exposure to complex international tax matters while working alongside experienced specialists within a collaborative national team.

Background and Experience

Candidates should ideally have:

  • Minimum three years’ relevant experience for Assistant Manager level or five years’ experience for Manager level
  • Exposure to transfer pricing projects including:
    • Thin capitalisation
    • Intellectual property structures
    • Transfer pricing policy design
    • Documentation
    • Controversy and dispute resolution
  • Broader exposure to international tax, corporate tax compliance, transactions or tax due diligence would be advantageous
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and intermediaries

Technical Knowledge

Good working knowledge of:

  • OECD and HMRC transfer pricing guidance
  • Statistical and economic analysis
  • Benchmarking methodologies and databases
  • Intra-group financing arrangements
  • Corporate interest restriction interaction
  • Transfer pricing implementation challenges
  • Tax and customs treatment of TP adjustments
  • Pillar Two awareness

Additional Requirements

  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to identify cross-service opportunities
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior team members

Professional Qualifications

Candidates should hold:

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification; or
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in economics, finance, law or accounting
