A well-established accountancy firm in Milton Keynes is seeking a driven and ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join their supportive team. The Role

You’ll be preparing statutory and partnership financial statements and updating client systems to reflect signed accounts. The position requires a confident, flexible, and professional approach, with the ability to manage time effectively and maintain high standards of client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with relevant reporting standards
• Compile supporting accounting schedules
• Work across a variety of structures including FRS102, FRS102 1A, partnerships and consolidations
• Maintain strong client relationships and resolve queries efficiently
• Identify and recommend improvements relating to systems and reporting
• Ensure jobs are delivered on time and within budget

About You

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA
• 2–3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• Solid accounts preparation and double-entry knowledge
• Experience with cloud-based systems such as Xero and QuickBooks preferred
• Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
• Basic understanding of tax computations, PAYE and VAT
• Methodical, solution-focused and confident in dealing with clients
