Real Estate Tax Senior Manager – £95,000

Description
We are looking for an experienced corporate tax real estate specialist at Senior Manager level to join a fast-growing Real Estate Corporate Tax Team. The role involves managing the corporate tax affairs of a growing portfolio of real estate clients, particularly Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
The Role
You will manage your own portfolio of real estate clients, working with Partners/Directors (or independently) on complex tax consultancy and compliance assignments across the sector. You will lead transactional work and deliver tax structuring and due diligence for M&A activity, coordinating with specialist teams. Business development for existing and prospective real estate clients is also a key part of the role.
You’ll oversee tax advisory and compliance services, with clients ranging from UK REITs to other property businesses across the UK. Responsibilities include preparing/reviewing REIT Financial Statements, Corporate Interest Restriction and PID calculations, and maintaining PID trackers. Tax planning will regularly occur across this diverse portfolio, covering group tax planning, property planning, capital allowances, R&D credits, and s455 planning.
You'll support senior team members on transactions, prepare technical reports, manage junior staff, and contribute to account management and business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of real estate corporate tax compliance and advisory services, particularly focused on REITs.
- Work closely with Partners on tax advisory projects, including acquisitions, disposals, transaction support, and due diligence.
- Lead tax planning and advisory initiatives such as property transactions, capital allowances, R&D credits, and cross-border structuring.
- Take responsibility for staff management and work planning, reporting directly to Partners.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities, including attending tax conferences and external/internal sessions.
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, providing commercial insight and ensuring quality assurance and risk compliance.
The Team
The Real Estate Corporate Tax team includes two Partners and a team of Senior Managers, Managers, and Trainees. The team services a broad client base and is growing rapidly both in London and nationally.
You
This role suits a proactive, commercially minded individual with strong interpersonal skills and a strategic mindset. You should have recent experience managing a real estate corporate tax portfolio, advising REITs, and handling tax issues for both corporate structures and their owners. A strong team player with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills is essential.
Preferred qualifications include CTA and/or ACA.
