Private Client Tax Assistant Manager

Southampton | Up to £49,000

The rapidly growing Private Client Team manages the funds, businesses, and trusts of individuals, families, and entrepreneurs. In this team, you'll tackle a range of technical challenges while building meaningful client relationships — becoming a trusted advisor who understands and supports clients’ personal and business ambitions.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and solid technical knowledge, as well as the ability to travel for client work when needed. In return, you'll have direct access to leadership and a variety of career development opportunities.

Role Overview

Based in the Southampton office, this role sits within the Private Client Services team and involves delivering full UK tax compliance and advisory services to a broad client base — including regional, London-based, and international clients.

You’ll initially manage a portfolio split between compliance and advisory work, with a longer-term focus on advisory. Clients may include HNWIs, entrepreneurs, OMBs, trusts, private equity individuals, and those with varied asset bases.

You’ll support partners, directors, and the wider management team with client work and operational matters and participate in ad hoc projects. Business development and involvement in proposals will be part of the role, with opportunities to collaborate with tax specialists nationally and internationally.
