About the Firm
We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm that provides expert tax and accountancy services to a diverse client base, including agricultural businesses, estates, and rural enterprises. They’re looking for a talented Personal Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in tax planning and advisory services, helping clients navigate complex tax matters while developing your career in a friendly and supportive environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate self-assessment tax returns.
- Advising on personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning.
- Developing tax-efficient strategies tailored to clients’ individual circumstances and long-term goals.
- Liaising with HMRC, handling enquiries, and resolving tax-related issues.
- Keeping up to date with tax legislation and ensuring clients and colleagues are informed of key updates.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
What we’re looking for:
- A professional tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Great organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Experience working with agricultural or rural clients is a bonus, but not essential.
