Paralegal | Property Litigation

We are working in partnership with a respected Hertfordshire-based law firm to recruit a Litigation & Dispute Resolution Paralegal.

The Role

As a Litigation & Dispute Resolution Paralegal, you will assist on a broad range of matters, including:

• Defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters (residential and commercial)
• Reviewing claims, liaising with clients and agents to gather relevant information, and assisting with research and drafting of advice on the merits of defences and/or counterclaims
• Investigating breach of covenant matters, providing research support, and assisting in drafting client advice and taking instructions
• Supporting the team in preparing for compliance with Court and Tribunal deadlines
• Preparing Landlord & Tenant advice in response to client requests in a timely manner
• Providing regular updates and reports to clients and/or agents
• Maintaining effective case management, including diarising key dates and keeping database notes updated
• Producing accurate and concise reporting as required
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties in line with the role, as directed by your Line Manager

Requirements – Essential/Desired:

• Proven experience as a paralegal, ideally within property disputes
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners
• Desirable experience in service charge and ground rent recovery (both residential and commercial), breaches of covenant, and general landlord and tenant disputes
• Familiarity with County Court and First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) proceedings is advantageous
