M&A and Transactions Tax Assistant Manager / Manager

Locations: Bristol, Leeds, Nottingham

The Role

An expanding Transactions Tax team is seeking Assistant Managers and Managers to support a wide range of UK and international clients including owner-managed businesses, corporates and private equity-backed groups.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to transaction-related advisory work including acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and cross-border projects.

Background and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • Minimum three years’ relevant experience for Assistant Manager level or four years’ experience for Manager level
  • Exposure to:
    • Corporate tax advisory
    • Tax due diligence
    • Acquisition and disposal structuring
    • Cross-border transactions
    • Reorganisations and demergers
    • Management tax issues
  • ATT/CTA and/or ACA qualification
  • Experience dealing directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact

Additional Requirements

  • Strong UK corporate tax advisory knowledge
  • Interest in transactions and international tax matters
  • Good understanding of tax accounting and compliance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and jurisdictions
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
