I am proud to be partnering with an impressive independent chartered accountants in East London, Ilford that are looking to appoint a Client Manager. The role is available due to internal promotions, highlighting the significant progression opportunities available.

You will be responsible for a diverse client portfolio and enjoy working on large and very active clients (Up to £40M turnover). If you have an auditing background that would be desirable but by no means essential. You will enjoy mentoring junior members of staff and be responsible for your own 'pod’, ensuring excellent client service is delivered on budget.

Client Manager Responsibilities:

• Manage a client portfolio of 75-100 limited company clients allocated based on the experience of the candidate.
• Portfolio expected to manage c£400k
• Be part of a management team responsible for the efficiencies and mentoring of the accounts department
• Attend meetings with clients
• Allocation of client assignments and team members on the work planner
• Work as a mentor to junior staff, providing training, development, and feedback
• Budgeting and WIP management of client portfolio
• Working closely with all of the Directors and having regular catch-ups and weekly meetings
• Ensure technically up to date with the latest accounting and tax aspects
• Taking on small short-term internal projects as they arise
• Iris, Xero, and Excel skills would be desirable

You will have a peer group formed with other Senior Manager’s and Client Managers whereby you can improve client care, internal efficiencies, and the well-being of more junior-level staff.
