Audit Manager

Salary – c.£55,000

📝 Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers. The team works with a diverse client base across the UK and internationally, including entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, AIM-listed companies, and not-for-profit organisations across sectors such as retail, technology, professional services, and more.

With turnovers typically ranging from £20m to £40m (and in some cases much higher), you’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of clients and projects, supported by a collaborative and talented team. 🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Oversee your own portfolio of clients, including workforce planning, WIP management, and billing.
• Delegate audit, accounts, and some tax compliance work, reviewing completed files before final review by the RI.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior and senior team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
• Support business development through networking, events, and tendering for new work.
• Contribute to wider team responsibilities, such as interviewing and marketing.

✅ Desired Experience & Skills

• ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA qualification.
• Experience in a manager-grade role with responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
• People management experience.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Commercially minded, with a focus on client development.
• Familiarity with audit software (Caseware preferred) and Microsoft Office.
