Summary of Position: To service, grow and improve profitability of own client portfolio

Primary Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of private clients (including individuals, sole traders, partnerships, LLP’s and trusts). Approx: 130-140 Personal Tax Clients and 80 Corporation Tax Clients.

Preparing and implementing a plan SATR and dividend planning

Recommending and implementing improvements to the profitability of clients workedon

Providing tax advice and support to client directors for existing and potential new clients

Authorising CT, SA tax returns and P11Ds to be sent to clients

Concluding HMRC enquiries for own portfolio and allocated work

Delivering property LLP and other allocated projects

Recommending tax planning opportunities and when agreed, implementing them

Training junior members of staff as required.

Assisting Finance with billing and the collection of debt.

Effective completion of timesheets and management of work in progress (WIP)

Personal Specification

Essential

Qualifications & Training – Studying ATT or Qualified and/or studying for CTA.

Good working knowledge of MS Office especially Word and Excel

Experience Experience working in a professional firm.

Specific Knowledge/Experience – Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Corporation Tax

Desirable

Knowledge of CCH Tax software and CCH Practice Management.

Knowledge of accounts

Knowledge of Xero

Specific Knowledge/Experience – Trust Tax including preparation of Trust and Estate Returns, Value Added Tax, Inheritance Tax
