AJ Chambers are pleased to be representing a progressive and client-focused accountancy firm, with offices across the East & Midlands region. They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join their team and assume a pivotal role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

·        Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a mix of entities (Ltd companies, sole traders, partnerships, charities)

·        Monthly and quarterly management accounts production

·        Completion of personal tax returns

·        Overseeing workflow and planning across your portfolio

·        Holding review meetings with clients to discuss results and next steps

·        Assisting with training, coaching and development of more junior team members

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

·        A professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) or be nearly-qualified, or have equivalent substantial experience in practice

·        Solid experience working in an accountancy practice environment

·        Strong technical knowledge across accounting & tax disciplines

·        Experience of using accounting software such as Xero and CCH (or a willingness to learn)

·        Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and build rapport

·        Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, prioritise and plan

·        A collaborative mindset, ideally with experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff
