AJ Chambers are delighted to be working with a leading Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisor practice based in Watford. Our client is looking to expand their team with the addition of a Personal Tax Manager to support continued growth.
The firm also has offices in London and Milton Keynes and employs over 200 staff across the group.
As a significant and well-established firm in the region, they are members of TGS – an international network of professional firms – and advise businesses and individuals both in the UK and internationally.

Main Responsibilities
- Working closely with Tax Principals and team members to achieve results and foster a positive team environment
- Liaising with and meeting clients to understand and meet their requirements
- Preparing personal, partnership, and trust tax returns for more complex clients
- Reviewing personal tax returns, advisory work, and technical work prepared by junior team members
- Identifying tax planning opportunities, advising clients, and assisting with implementation
- Assisting with HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
- Collaborating with multiple teams and Principals across the firm on ad hoc advisory work
Requirements
- CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualified experience
- Experience gained within a personal tax practice
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage junior staff
- Experience managing a client portfolio, including compliance and tax planning
- Good IT skills; familiarity with Digita tax software desirable
- Up-to-date technical tax knowledge, evidenced by recent training and experience
- Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues
