We are looking for a number of ambitious, career driven, qualified accountants, who have ideally completed their training with leading accountancy practices, to join the financial reporting and transaction support team of a progressive, fast growing and collaborative City-based specialist Plc advisory business.

The role will involve working within an experienced, multi-skilled and supportive financial reporting and transaction support team, which currently comprises of eleven qualified accountants, six trainee accountants, one undergraduate placement student and a team assistant.

You will be responsible for managing financial reporting and transaction support projects for companies either going through the IPO process or working with the Chief Financial Officers and Financial Controllers of existing listed companies with complex financial reporting and valuation requirements, as well as managing the day-to-day finance functions of listed Plc’s.

They provide financial reporting, transaction support and governance services to its clients, primarily to companies listed in London or companies seeking a listing in London, on either the AIM Market or the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. We are proudly sector agnostic, and our clients operate in a broad range of sectors: from food and drink to natural resources; from sports to media; and from IT to building services and are located across the globe.

Based in the City of London and the role will require being in the office a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial statement preparation under IFRS and FRS 101/102
  • IFRS conversions
  • FPPP preparation and controls implementation
  • Group management reporting
  • Accounting for mergers, acquisitions, and reverse takeovers
  • Valuations including purchase price allocations, share options and derivatives
  • Preparing integrated P&L, balance sheet and cashflow excel based models
  • Acting as the first point of contact for the client
  • Coaching junior colleagues
  • Liaising with the auditors and other advisors of clients

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and an ability to work as part of a team
  • Support in the recruitment, induction, and training of team members
  • An ability to work to and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working concurrently on multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of proficiency in MS office products (primarily, excel and word)
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable with business development, including making connections with professionals at other firms
