Looking to take the next step in your Private Client Tax career within a supportive, relationship-led team?

I'm working with a leading accountancy firm looking to recruit a Manager into its Trust & Family Office team, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, trustees and executors.

This role combines complex trust compliance with advisory work across inheritance tax, capital gains tax and residence matters, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while building long-term client relationships.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of private clients, with responsibilities including:

  • Client Relationships: Acting as the primary point of contact for HNW clients, trustees and executors, building trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Trust & Estate Compliance: Reviewing annual trust and estate accounts and tax returns, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to a high standard.
  • Tax Advisory: Drafting complex tax advisory reports for Directors and Partners.
  • Inheritance & Capital Gains Tax: Advising on CGT, IHT, domicile and residence matters, alongside the use of trust and company structures.
  • Planning Opportunities: Identifying potential tax planning opportunities and supporting clients with their wider tax affairs.
  • Business Development: Working alongside experienced Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, contributing to business development, marketing and networking initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Private Client Tax, particularly trusts and estates.
  • Strong technical knowledge of trust and estate compliance.
  • Experience reviewing tax returns and accounts, with the ability to manage client relationships independently.
  • Exposure to advisory work involving CGT, IHT, residence and domicile matters.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with HNW clients and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying planning opportunities and developing your technical expertise.

Why Consider It?

  • A varied portfolio of high-net-worth clients and complex private client matters.
  • A balance of compliance, advisory work and client relationship management.
  • Supportive leadership and hands-on training from experienced tax professionals.
  • Clear career progression pathways and ongoing professional development.
  • A collaborative working environment with flexible and hybrid working options.
  • Competitive salary, benefits and study support.

The hiring team is keen to bring in someone who wants to develop their career in a progressive, supportive environment, with the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships and build their advisory experience.

In addition to providing our recruitment services to you, we may want to occasionally contact you to let you know about our recruitment services, industry insights, employment news and competitions.
