We are working with a leading professional services firm that is continuing to grow its specialist Tax Disputes & Resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a collaborative and expanding team in our London, Manchester or Leeds office, advising a broad range of private clients, businesses, family-owned companies, owner-managed businesses and partnerships on their interactions with HMRC.

The Role

As a Tax Disputes & Resolution Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of client engagements, working closely with senior colleagues and clients to resolve complex HMRC matters and provide practical, commercially focused advice.

You will be involved in:

• Managing HMRC enquiries, disclosures and tax risk matters
• Advising on HMRC compliance powers and dispute resolution
• Supporting senior team members with HMRC negotiations and client relationships
• Taking ownership of projects and ensuring high-quality delivery
• Managing and reviewing junior team members' work
• Building strong relationships across the wider business to identify opportunities for the specialist team

About You

We are keen to speak with tax professionals who have:

• Strong practical experience across Tax Disputes & Resolution
• Experience managing HMRC enquiries and client engagements
• Proven project management and client relationship skills
• A strong track record of delivering high-quality tax advice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An interest in coaching and developing junior colleagues

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, working closely with clients and tackling technically interesting tax issues.
