Salary: Up to £35,000

Working Arrangements: Full Time | 35 Hour Week

Location: Brentwood, Essex

Role Description

I’m working with a well-regarded and growing accountancy practice in Brentwood that is looking to appoint an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to support the continued expansion of their team.

This role offers excellent exposure across both accounts and audit work, with roughly 30–50% of the role involving audit assignments. You will work with a varied client base including some large London based businesses, gaining experience on audits for companies with turnovers exceeding £50m while developing your technical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll do

· Prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a range of clients

· Assist on audit assignments with the opportunity to begin leading audits within the first year

· Work with clients across a range of sectors including larger businesses with group structures

· Gain exposure to group consolidated accounts and audits

· Liaise directly with clients regarding financial information and queries

· Attend client meetings alongside Partners and Senior Managers

· Support and help train junior members of the team

What you’ll need

· Experience working within a UK accountancy practice

· Exposure to accounts preparation and an interest in developing audit experience

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work with clients directly
