Senior Tax Manager / Director Responsibilities:

• You will manage your own varied client portfolio and act as the clients first point of contact
• Assisting with the overall management of the compliance process
• To develop a good understanding of your clients affairs - this will require you to see the bigger picture

• Providing tax advice on a range of different issues

Corporate Tax Assistant | Big 4

If you had aspired to join the Big 4, but for whatever reason went to a mid-tier firm - this is your opportunity to give it another shot!

Unlike some roles within the Big 4, this role will offer you exposure to compliance and advisory - this will give you a rounded skill set.

Your clients will be within Asset Management (which includes Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Funds), Banking and Insurance. There will also be flexibility for this to change as you develop - effectively your role can change to best reflect your interests/skills.

The role:

• Whilst advertised in London, this role can also be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds or Manchester
• You will be supporting various managers with their portfolios - primarily with compliance, but also with advisory work
• You will also be assigned a portfolio, it will be your responsibility to prepare/review the first draft on all tax computations relating to this portfolio
• The role will include client contact - you will call the client to go through any info needed to support the returns

A firm widely known as one of the better accountants in London (especially for tax/international), are currently looking for a Corporate Tax Senior.

In your new role you will be able to join a proactive and analytical team, that deal with the compliance and advisory work for a portfolio of corporations (large corporates, SMEs, OMBS, international and groups). The role:

• Dealing with compliance matters for a mixed portfolio of corporate tax clients - your clients will differ in levels of complexity
• Compliance work includes the preparation and submission of tax returns of all allocated clients whilst ensuring all are compliant with tax regulations.
• Providing consistent client service of a high quality which includes maintaining regular client contact such as face to face meetings, e-mail correspondence and telephone discussions
• Liaising with other departments within the firm where appropriate
• Liaising with HMRC and clients on a regular basis
• Assisting with tax advice to clients, in a supported environment - this may include legislative changes or tax efficient planning advice where appropriate
• Assisting with ad hoc project work

About you:

• 2+ Years tax experience in practice
• Ideally you will have completed ACA/ATT qualifications

Capital Allowance Manager

If you would like to specialize within Capital Allowances, but might not necessarily want to be pigeon holed within this niche - this is a great opportunity to work with all types of client/work.

The firm rank within the Top 10 and have a growing team. This means that you will have a unique opportunity for quick progression, but without the risk of having to go to a boutique firm.

Whilst the team will be smaller than a Big 4 team, you will benefit from working directly with/being mentored by a specialist Partner and Senior Manager.

Your Role:

• Providing capital allowances and land remediation relief compliance services
• Working on a variety of different advisory projects
• To pro-actively manage your own workload, communicating with clients, directors and partners on a regular basis
• You will be given the autonomy to identify and pursue opportunities to develop new work - This is not a requirement, but will help with building a business case for Director/Partner level in the future

Requirements:

• Experience in a role that has either been sepcialised in Capital Allowances, or a role where Capital Allowances has been a significant part of the job
• Your experience does not have to be from an accountancy practice - For instance, if you are a Chartered Surveyor, this would also work well (they will even support and pay for CS qualifications.
