The firm is looking to add an experienced employment solicitor to its practice to join the firm's growing employment team.

This role will suit individuals with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience who have experience advising across a mixed caseload of contentious, non-contentious and transactional employment matters. The ideal person will also be comfortable acting on behalf of claimants and respondents.

The team advise on key matters such as:

• Assisting with TUPE transfers and other corporate transactions
• Defending employment tribunal claims
• Advising on discrimination and whistle-blowing cases
• Drafting contracts, policies and procedures
• Handling senior executive severances

A client following would be beneficial but is not a strict requirement. That said a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships is essential.

The team, ranked tier 3 in the legal 500, acts of private and public companies, pension scheme trustees, government bodies and insolvency practitioners on matters including non-contentious and contentious work, cross-border M&A transactions and regulatory matters.

The successful applicant will lead on a variety of pensions matters including benefits issues and disputes, de-risking, merging, restructuring and pension fund deficits. You will also be a hub of technical expertise and assist with the supervision and mentoring of the more junior members of the team.

Required attributes;

• England and Wales qualified lawyer with ideally 7 years post-qualification experience gained within a well-respected Pensions team.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of pensions law and corporate transactions.
• Experience of working on public sector matters and pensions de-risking is highly desirable.
• Excellent academic record.
• Self-motivated and a team player.

In reward, the successful candidate can expect a salary of £110,000 plus (d.o.e).
