A busy law firm in Essex is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join the busy Residential Property Department on a full time basis.

The role will support the team and 2 Senior Lawyers managing clients and brokers expectations and helping to progress all the property correspondence.

Main duties will include but not limited to:

  • Handle completions and post completion work
  • Preparation of SDLT and Land Registry forms
  • Deal with post completion procedures and registrations
  • Draft legal documentation and correspondence
  • Issue regular updates with clients and estate agents
  • Ensure that files are up to date and all the information is accurately put on to the case management system

The successful candidate will have gained a minimum of 2 years - experience within a similar role and will have strong communication skills as this will be key when liaising with clients, you must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work under minimal supervision.

- Liaising with internal and external clients by email, telephone and face to face

Supporting the Senior Partner the successful candidate will be someone who is familiar with all the processes and procedures associated with the Private Client department and can start assisting from day one.

Main duties will include:

  • Providing full Paralegal duties producing correspondence and other documentation related to Private Client matters.
  • Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
  • Drafting of basic Wills, LPAs and Court of Protection applications.
  • Completion of forms relating to tax i.e., Inheritance Tax.
  • Production of attendance notes.
  • Support fee earners in marketing activities.
  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.

Desired skills and experience:
