The Role

The responsibilities of this include (but are not limited to):

• Advising re. non UK nationals working in the UK;
• Advising employers on sponsoring non UK nationals, including applying for and maintaining a sponsor licence;
• Advising individuals entering or remaining in the UK under the various business immigration routes and assisting with the relevant applications;
• Advising re. temporary work in the UK;
• Advising re. scope of the visitor rules including permitted activities of a business visitor;
• Assisting with connected applications for families and dependents and also advising individuals in respect of settlement and British citizenship.

The successful candidate would be expected to advise businesses and individuals in respect of various immigration visa routes, such as skilled worker, global business mobility, scale up, graduate visas etc.

The Role

• Court, arbitration and trial experience will be advantageous in this role, as you will be taking ownership of a caseload under the supervision of partners and senior associates in the group.

• Working directly with partners and other lawyers in the group to further your skills and knowledge in litigation.

The private equity team is a crucial element to the corporate department, advising on complex PE funds matters, acquisitions (public and private), corporate governance support, divestments, typically with a cross-border dimension.
