    AJ Chambers are working on an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA Qualified Audit Senior to join a leading independent accountancy firm, based in Birmingham.

    Our client is giving you the chance to work with a wide range of clients giving you exposure to a variety of industries.

    The Role:

    Leading and assisting audit assignments in a variety of industries Accounts preparation for Corporate clients Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations Supervision of more junior staff Providing reports/updates to manager/partner Effectively deal with client and HMRC correspondence

    The Ideal Candidate:

    ACA or ACCA qualified (or very close to qualifying) Previous audit experience in a practice environment Experience using Sage and Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft applications and accounting software Ability to support and supervise junior staff.

    AJ Chambers are working with an established, forward thinking Top 10 firm of Chartered Accountants, who are looking for an Internal Audit Senior to join their Birmingham office.

    As an Internal Audit Senior, you will be responsible for leading audits on a varied portfolio of sectors, including Local Government, Central Government, Sporting Governing Bodies and Housing to name a few.

    You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, willing to travel and have previous experience within a similar role and have a great interest in the Public Sector Field and Internal Audit.

    Key Responsibilities of an Internal Audit Senior:

    Planning Audits and applying best practice audit principles at varying degrees of complexity Ability to ensure that all testing requirements are complied accurately, and up to date technical knowledge. Ability to ensure that client deadlines are met and to budget Experience of working on more complex aspects of audits. Building strong client relationships and being a point of contact on advice for structuring, systems as well as source of relevant information. Ability to identify and define financial, operational and compliance risks. Suggest improvements for audit efficiency and general process internally.

    Essential Skills and Experience for this Internal Audit Senior role:

    ACA/ACCA Qualified Previous experience in an Internal audit role Great interest in Public Sector Proficient in MS office, including PowerPoint and Excel and charting software such as Visio Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within tight deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills Full UK Driving licence and own vehicle

    As a Senior Audit Manager, you will be responsible for leading audits on a varied portfolio of clients, supervising Managers, Junior Managers, Semi Seniors and the wider Audit team. You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified, willing to travel and have previous experience within a similar role.

    Key Responsibilities of an Senior Audit Manager:

    Delivering value to the client by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving the business, assess legal implications Ensuring engagements are executed in accordance with the firm\'s methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and local legal and regulatory requirements Leading and coordinating the planning and management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner. Securing and enhancing relationships with senior client management. Being a pro-active leader of teams, ensure team members are properly managed and motivated and ensure staff needs, including training and development, are identified and acted upon

    Essential Skills and Experience for this Senior Audit Manager role:

    ACA/ACCA Qualified Proven experience in leading a number of major external audit and assurance engagements within the Not-for-Profit space. Housing experience would be preferable. Excellent technical expertise with proven industry knowledge in Not-for-Profit. Significant involvement in developing and delivering all services to client Team and peer leadership skills Significant involvement in developing and delivering all services to clients Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    Key Responsibilities of an Audit Manager:

    Planning Audits and identifying key risk areas. Ability to ensure that all statutory requirements are complied with, and up to date technical knowledge. Ability to ensure that client deadlines are met and to budget. Experience of working on more complex aspects of audits. Building strong client relationships and being a point of contact on advice for structuring, systems as well as source of relevant information. Supervising the audit process on site, supporting and managing Audit Team in collaboration with Audit Director and Audit Partner, supporting and developing more junior members of staff. Suggest improvements for audit efficiency and general process internally.

     

     

    Essential Skills and Experience for this Audit Assistant Manager role:

    ACA/ACCA Qualified Previous experience in a Manager or supervisor role for at least 18 months Well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles Experience working on Academy and Charity Audits. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within tight deadlines Proven Experience in client handling and relationships. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
