AJ Chambers are working with an established, forward thinking Top 10 firm of Chartered Accountants, who are looking for an Internal Audit Senior to join their Birmingham office.
As an Internal Audit Senior, you will be responsible for leading audits on a varied portfolio of sectors, including Local Government, Central Government, Sporting Governing Bodies and Housing to name a few.
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, willing to travel and have previous experience within a similar role and have a great interest in the Public Sector Field and Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities of an Internal Audit Senior:
Planning Audits and applying best practice audit principles at varying degrees of complexity Ability to ensure that all testing requirements are complied accurately, and up to date technical knowledge. Supervising the audit process on site, supporting and managing Audit Team in collaboration with Audit Director and Audit Partner, supporting and developing more junior members of staff. Essential Skills and Experience for this Audit Assistant Manager role:
ACA/ACCA Qualified Previous experience in a Manager or supervisor role for at least 18 months Well-rounded knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles Experience working on Academy and Charity Audits. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete assignments within tight deadlines Proven Experience in client handling and relationships. Strong interpersonal and communication skillsÂ
