    A Top 200 Law firm in Cambridge has a permanent role within the Real Estate Document Production team a for a Production Specialist with the core hours of Monday to Friday 12pm -7pm.

    Currently this role is being undertaken remotely, in line with Government advice, and there is the expectation that this will become an office based role once again in due course.This role reports to the Executive Support Manager or Executive Support Team Leader and is responsible for creating, amending and finalising high quality documents using various IT packages.This role will work alongside five Document Production Specialists to provide an integral service to the Cambridge Office, which primarily supports our Real Estate National Service Line as well as working closely with Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants to provide outstanding client service to the lawyers.A typical day would be:- Assessing, managing and prioritising own work flow- Preparing initial drafts, amending and engrossing complex, lengthy documents- Digital transcription, copy typing including documents, correspondence, emails, minutes, presentations, tenders- Reformatting into house style- Preparing document comparisons using bespoke packages- Proof readingThe successful candidate:

    This is a busy and challenging role and to be successful your background will probably include:- Experience in a similar role, such as a Document Assistant/Specialist or Legal Secretary- Experience of working with complex documents on various IT packages- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular Word and good experience of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel- At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (formally Grade C) or above to include mathematics and English (or equivalent)

    This is an excellent opportunity for a bright professional, who has some Corporate and Business Tax experience either in a specialist team or as part of a general practice or audit team and who is looking to specialise and develop in this area.  The successful candidate will be based at our clients Cambridge office, but will need to be prepared to undertake some travel between other offices and to client sites within the region, although at the present time due to the pandemic, they are largely operating a work from home model.

    Our client\'s portfolio includes business clients across the spectrum from the very small to groups turning over several hundreds of million including OMBs, subsidiaries of larger international groups, charities and LLPs.

    This is an interesting and varied role which provides real scope for personal and career development. You will work closely with managers and partners, assisting them in tax compliance and advisory matters, and with appropriate supervision, draft computations, letters and reports for manager / partner review. You will prepare key client reporting documents, adhere to cost budgets and be involved with various tax compliance and advisory matters.

    Skills required:

    Recent experience within a professional services environment giving you at least a working knowledge of Corporate and Business Tax is essential.  You should be ATT and/or AAT/ICAEW/ACCA qualified or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.  You may be studying towards a relevant qualification such as ATT/CTA. Full study support towards ATT/CTA would be available (as would refresher training) if required. Must be keen to be involved in planning and technical aspects of tax, compliance and advisory work, and to develop your skills. A high level of ICT (Excel, Word) literacy is required. Experience of Alphatax and CCH software would be advantageous but is not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to develop client relationships. Self-motivated, hard-working, flexible and prepared to undertake some travel within East Anglia.  A driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.

    Overview
