Corporate Tax Senior Associate responsibilities

  • Working as part of the tax team
  • Ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget
  • Prepare client tax returns required by the Manager
  • Assisting your team and managers to service clients
  • Take responsibility for all client matters as directed by the manager
  • Preparation of engagement letters and client acceptance documentation
  • To Undertake training as and when required
  • To develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and within the firm

Tax Investigations Senior Associate requirements

  • Previous experience within Corporate Tax gained in practice
  • Qualified by CTA would be ideal
  • Ideally educated to degree level, with strong academic background
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Fully computer literate

  • Audit Senior - Big 4
    £46000 per year - 52000 per year

    The firm and team

    This department of a big 4 firm is continuing to enjoy a strong double digit growth in revenues & looking to recruit an additional Audit Senior to join our team of nearly 100 audit professionals.

    Seeking Audit Seniors/assistant managers with a minimum of 3 years audit experience, ideally from Big 4 firm or challenger top 10.

    The clients

    This unique team is engaged with audit clients across a number of industries, but primarily technology, consumer business, professional services and manufacturing.

    Key clients are mainly UK subsidiaries of the most famous listed groups in central Europe. This role would therefore include exposure to a variety of entities & clients.

    Broad range of responsibilities including: Anticipating organising, leading and following-up the audit field work from the beginning to the point of signing - being pro-active in the risk assessment and planning phases Being the main audit contact to the client (GM, CFO and Finance Manager) during the field work on site at the client Being the main contact internally, informing Managers and Partners on a regular basis on the status of the audit Leading a team of 2 to 3 audit staff (interns and 1st and 2nd year Assistants). This consists in allocating audit work, people development and onsite trainingSkills and strengths required:

  • Accounts Manager

    AJ Chambers are currently working with a non-traditional and progressive firm of accountants in Chelmsford, Essex that are looking to appoint an Accounts Manager.

    This role is to work directly alongside the Directors and ensure the smooth operational running of the practice, as well as being the first point for a diverse portfolio of clients.

    Accounts Manager – Key Duties:

    Managing workloads and deadlines for a portfolio of UK based businesses Assisting with developing the Practice, gaining new clients and recognise opportunities for new work within the existing client portfolio Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy Preparing and timely filing of all statutory accounting and tax obligations to a point ready for director review Raising appropriate queries with the client to ensure that the accounts and tax returns are accurate Carry out prior year analysis to compare accounts for obvious variances and raise these with the client Preparing client correspondence to explain year on year variances and HMRC liabilities Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, commentaries and management information Providing tax and accounting advice with reference to current legislation Meeting and interviewing clients

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Work with portfolio managers to plan, control and review client work to ensure jobs are completed effectively and efficiently Ensure delivery of comprehensive audit files and financial statements for Partner review Ensure portfolio managers are delivering audits in line with budget and the audit timetable Brief portfolio managers and audit or accounts staff on the client, its investment strategy ensuring that the most cost-effective approach to the job is clearly communicated Help ensure that portfolio managers are supported, bringing a strong level of technical guidance and experience in order to deliver audits to completion and also to learn and enhance their own technical understanding Provide a broad range of training drawing on previous experience Perform regular appraisals and sign off staff training records to help staff develop effectively Work closely with the wider team to ensure control of the day to day staff management.
