Technical Training Manager – Audit – National (remote)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a Top 10 firm within their Technical Training team offering a great deal of flexibility and autonomy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the development of the next generation of auditors at the firm, as well as building your own skill sets that will benefit you as your career advances.

Overall job purpose

Are you an experienced Auditor that enjoys training and coaching junior and qualified members of staff to help them reach their full potential? Are you an Auditor looking for a new challenge but want to utilise your skills and experience differently? If so, look no further.

The firm believes that high quality training is achieved when the trainer is involved at every stage. When developing training, you will be involved from the inception and scoping, innovation in the design and ultimately, delivery of the finished product. You will have full responsibility for training projects. This is supported throughout including technical reviews, a separate team of eLearning developers and peer reviews within the training team.

The Audit Training team work closely with various stakeholders in audit – quality, technical and, importantly, the client facing audit teams to develop and deliver a programme of training that both responds to the regulatory rigours of the profession and complements the professional development of every member of the audit team.

Responsibilities

  • You will write and deliver audit courses for classroom and digital delivery.
  • You will be expected to work closely with relevant members of the management team, particularly those in audit, to establish the training needs that exist and ensure the programme design meets those needs.
  • The firm uses accelerated learning techniques in its course delivery and whilst it is not necessary to be experienced or trained in these techniques you must be willing to embrace them with appropriate guidance. These techniques use courses that are more interactive and put the emphasis on the learner, where possible, finding out the relevant information rather than the trainer solely delivering material in a lecture style.
  • Classroom courses will be delivered nationally and there is a requirement to travel to any of their offices.

About the ideal candidate

  • Above all, they are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the audit profession and excited about the opportunity to design and deliver a range of training through different delivery formats.
  • You will be able to adapt your style in design and delivery to suit different audiences ranging from new students to experienced partners.
  • Your understanding of the firm’s audit business coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the profession will be complimented by excellent project management and teamwork skills to help deliver this objective.
  • The ability to combine robust technical knowledge with creativity in the design and delivery of training programmes is an important attribute for the role.

The role requires:

  • You will have experience working in external audit and be ACA, ICAS, or equivalent qualified.
  • The role is home based with an option to work flexibly from your local office. Delivery of training is both online and face to face. Therefore, there is a requirement to be able to travel anywhere nationally. Substantial advance notice of all travel requirements is generally given.

Flexible Working

The firm pride themselves on creating an environment where their people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of the firm and clients. They support all their people to work flexibly, to manage their family and other responsibilities alongside their work commitments; and believe this is key to achieving an inspiring and fulfilling working environment.
