Senior Tax Manager – Family Office & Private Client

The Team
Our Family Office & Private Client (FO&PC) team operates as a national practice, consisting of 162 members across the UK. The team is led by 5 Partners, 3 Associate Partners, and 12 Directors.
We offer services across five key areas:
- Transactions and Entrepreneurial Shareholders
- Ultra High Net Worth Individuals
- International
- Partnerships
- Investigations and Enquiries
We work with a wide range of high-net-worth individuals, including stakeholders in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, executives of multinational companies, landed estates, and senior members of private equity firms. These individuals may be tax resident or domiciled in various jurisdictions. We also provide specialised advice to Trusts, Estates, and Partnerships.

The Role
Our Private Client tax team is an expanding part of our wider tax practice, and to support continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Manager.
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in this field who are eager for a dynamic and supportive work environment that promotes innovative solutions.
In this role, you will be expected to lead high-quality service delivery for clients and contribute to winning new business by bringing new offerings to the market. Your client portfolio will include high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, shareholders, and international clients.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, while identifying new business leads.
- Develop and expand both internal and external networks to generate opportunities, focusing on specific clients and targets.
- Assist in managing the local team, coaching and developing team members.
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance colleagues to provide tax advice to shareholders involved in transactions.
- Analyse clients’ personal tax positions and develop innovative, tailored solutions.
- Oversee the project management of complex tax advice and its implementation.
- Ensure strong financial management of projects, including WIP management and billing controls.
The Individual
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent, with robust personal tax knowledge and experience
Experience and Background
- Expertise in private client advisory, including shareholder tax planning, transaction advice, and international tax planning.
- Ability to combine technical expertise with commercial awareness to engage confidently with business owners.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships with senior executives and shareholders, generating advisory opportunities.
- Passion for delivering outstanding client service, driven by strong client relationships.
- High level of enthusiasm and a positive attitude, fostering motivation across the team.
- Strong team player, capable of developing team resources and investing in peer and firm-wide relationships.
- Self-motivated, able to identify and seize market opportunities for business development.
