An exciting opportunity has arisen within the well established Private Client Tax Team at a Top 50 firm, as out client are looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to join their Nottingham office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of both compliance and advisory assignments to your client portfolio
  • Assist the Private Client Tax Partner as necessary in the overall management of the Private Client department
  • Build and continue to build sound professional relationships with clients
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach in providing professional services to clients
  • Attend client service reviews and works with the team to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Assist the Partners in preparing the annual budget for the Private Client department and in the monitoring of budgets and WIP on an ongoing basis
  • Have an overall responsibility for the management of WIP on your client portfolio
  • Identify potential business development opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • CTA qualified
  • STEP would be beneficial, though not essential
  • Prior experience working in a Private Client Tax focused role within a similar sized practice
  • Prior experience in managing and supervising a team of staff

    The Role:

You will have exposure to a number of more complex restructuring, accounting, and tax planning matters. Personal and corporate tax matters to include tax return completion.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    Previous UK accountancy practice experience is essential. ACA/ACCA Qualified or QBE. You must have a driving license and own transport, to facilitate client visits. Will have previous involvement in accounts preparation work and tax returns for both unincorporated and corporate clients. Experience in managing a client list and having front line contact with clients.
