AJ Chambers are recruiting for a US / UK Tax Junior to join a highly reputable firm in their London office.

We are seeking somebody with experience in US Tax, and has ideally worked in a UK / US Tax role in practice. You will be joining a rapidly growing firm, with both UK and international offices.

In your new role, you will be working within both UK and US personal Tax. You will be offered full support to become EA and ATT qualified, with your studies fully funded.

For the right person, who is motivated and able to pass EA qualifications in a timely manner, quick progression into a senior role is available.

US / UK Tax Junior responsibilities:

  • Prepares basic tax returns and works with senior tax associates to acquire the knowledge necessary to prepare more complex returns
  • To Gather data for correspondence to taxing authorities
  • To review intern work for accuracy
  • To demonstrate knowledge of all technology tools used to manage tax engagements
  • To stay current on technical matters through a variety of media
  • To attend client meetings

US / UK Tax Junior requirements:

  • Experience in both UK and US tax
  • Willing to become EA qualified
  • Fully Computer literate 
  • Able to organise and prioritise and monitor workload effectively
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a problem solving approach to work

    Administration of all stages of payroll processing for a portfolio of outsourced payrolls, including scanning information and monitoring the payroll processing cycle to ensure that information on payroll spreadsheets is maintained and kept up-to-date at all times. Ensuring that all information for payrolls is made available for processing by outsourced payroll providers. Preparation of letters, payroll reports and payslips for submission to clients. Liaising with clients and HM Revenue & Customs when dealing with payroll related queries. Assistance with billing, including preparation and submission of invoices to clients. General administrative duties, e.g. photocopying, scanning and filing, responding to letters and emails.

    What will you need to be successful in this role?

    AJ Chambers are seeking a Mixed Tax Manager to join a well renowned and award winning firm\'s London office


    This is a position that can be adaptive to your expertise. In essence it is mixed, so wide knowledge is required. However, if you have certain strengths in certain areas, but are not as well versed in others, there is the freedom to tailor a portfolio around this. Your role within the firm will have a strong degree of autonomy, you will however have access to several junior members of staff who you will delegate work to. You will report directly to both the tax director and the partner.


    Mixed Tax Manager Responsibilities
