A highly established and busy law firm based in the City of London is looking for an experienced PA to join the group to support the Chief Marketing Officer.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the CMO's diary and inbox, arrange meetings as required, and ensure that documents for future meetings are available a week before for review.
  • Book and manage the monthly department meeting; book rooms, ensure the rotating chair has an agenda set up, arrange AV equipment as required.
  • Schedule meetings and book rooms as required for the whole BD & Marketing team.
  • Take responsibility for the seating plan for the team, update Our People as required, work with Facilities to ensure that room and seat moves are effectively planned and executed.
  • Be the point of contact for all invoices that come into the department. Work with the Central Finance team to ensure that all invoices are appropriately coded and signed off, and that a digital and hard copy filing system is maintained.
  • General ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
  • Professional photographs - manage the administration of sending out emails to internal colleagues to make their professional photo selections once taken.
  • Schedule meetings with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Brand shop - working with Stores and General Office where required, maintain an inventory of all branded goods and make repeat orders where necessary. Keep up to date records of all suppliers.
  • Co-ordinate and send reminders for Hub post updates.

PR & Communications

  • Schedule press meetings and book rooms for journalists, partners and the Comms team.
  • Update the press meetings tracker.
  • Update the firm-wide awards tracker.
  • Book tables and coordinate seating plans at award ceremonies.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a PA with a minimum 2 years experience, along with a Minimum 5 GCSEs/O'Levels or equivalent at grade A-C including English and Maths

  • Property Solicitor - Residential

    AJ Chambers are excited to be working alongside a growing and prestigious Law Practice who have a presence in both Essex and Suffolk who are looking to expand their residential property team with a qualified Solicitor.

    The role will offer the succesful candidate a clear progressive career opportunity with the potential of reaching Partner level.

    The main purpose of the role is to run a small to medium residential caseload (circa £180k fees per year) with the help of a full time paralegal. This is the complete opposite of a pile them high sell them cheap approach. The residential offering is an off shoot from the corporate client base.

    It would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is fed up of the huge pressures residential solicitors have faced the last 2 years particularly working in larger firms who do mass conveyancing. This is a high quality service for a good price to a small number of clients.

    You must have proven experience of:

    registered and unregistered freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, mortgages/re-mortgages, transfers of equity (including matrimonial conveyancing), lease extensions, new builds, assignments of off-plan contracts, shared ownership and Right to Buy transactions.

    Candidates will need to be c5 years PQE but a client following is not essential for the role.

    A medium sized Law Firm based in the West End has clear expansion plans and is looking to grow the Private Client team with an experienced Paralegal.

    Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in that area but they would also consider a NQ for this role, with market salary to reflect.

    As a Private Client Paralegal you will be specialising within a wide range of estate administration work, grants of representation, distribution of estates, inheritance tax returns, applications for probate, liaising with the private property team, collating capital gains tax information and drafting income tax returns.

    This is a new, currently small, department who are looking for support for the current fee earner with a view to building/expanding so this is a graet time to join the practice.
