The team is particularly well regarded for the high value/high profile contentious employment work they do for individuals (mostly senior executives). That’s said the team also work with employers including household name companies.

The employment matters the team advise on encompasses any dispute or potential dispute that arises out of the workplace. This includes matters relating to whistleblowing, discrimination advice, restrictive covenants, partnership and LLP work.

With a large portion of the teams work being litigated within the High Court, my client offers an excellent opportunity for junior employment solicitor, interested in senior executive and employment litigation matters, to take the next step in their career.

The team can offer the successful applicant and interested work load, the option to have genuine influence over the direction of the firm, excellent career development prospects, a good work/life balance and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary for this role will be circa £60,000 with additional bonuses taking total compensation to £65,000 - £75,000.

Our client, one of the largest law firms in the world, is seeking talented and ambitious Pensions Lawyers to join their growing practice. 

The team currently have multiple vacancies and is seeking applications from individuals seeking roles at associate or senior associate level.  

The team, ranked tier 3 in the legal 500, acts of private and public companies, pension scheme trustees, government bodies and insolvency practitioners on matters including non-contentious and contentious work, cross-border M&A transactions and regulatory matters. 

The successful applicants will work on a variety of pension matters including benefits issues and disputes, de-risking, merging, restructuring and pension fund deficits.  

Requirements:

  • England and Wales qualified lawyer with 1+ years post-qualification experience 
  • Strong knowledge of pensions law and corporate transactions. 
  • Experience of working on public sector matters and pensions de-risking is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships. 
  • Excellent academic record. 
  • Self-motivated and a team player. 

In reward, the successful candidate can expect a salary of £85,000 - £135,000 (dependant upon experience) and a comprehensive benefits package.

The team is highly ranked in the leading directories and is spearheaded by recognised leaders and subject-matter experts. With great strength in multijurisdictional work, the team is often sought out by its clients to advise on strategic advisory projects, assist with TUPE undertakings, conduct investigations and deal with whistleblowing and discrimination claims.  

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading London team and engage in high quality and varied workload including global projects, transactions, HR advisory and complex litigation work.  

Requirements 

You will likely have between 4 – 7 years PQE experience, gained from within a leading employment practice.  

 You will need experience of the following: 

  • Providing transactional support and advising on TUPE matters 
  • Advising on general day-to-day queries such as disciplinary procedures, whistleblowing issues, data protection and settlement agreements.  
  • Advising on multijurisdictional projects 
  • Advising on redundancy processes 
  • Leading employment tribunal litigations and high court litigation.
