About the Role

The role will have a strong audit focus (ideally 50%+), and they are looking for a determined and competent individual to join the fast-growing team as an audit associate director. The chosen individual should be self-motivated, determined, ambitious and is able to multitask and fulfil tasks within time constraints and stringent deadlines. This individual can be ACA/ACCA qualified and should have sound technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audits and be accountable for a team, usually the clients’ premises.
  • Help resolve any technical issues that may come up
  • Take accountability for all parts of file completion (this will include the preparation of a first draft of the Corporation Tax computation)
  • Stay up to date with any news regarding auditing, accounting and taxation issues.
  • Communicate with clients regarding any of their accounting queries and listens, questions and help clarify information and instructions.
  • To aid in the supervision, training and development of any juniors and provide clear direction on site for the audit team in fulfilling their tasks.
  • To prepare an audit file and guarantee that all judgements are fully documented and considered, and for the file to be finalized to a high standard
  • Ensure that work is performed in a cost-effective way
  • To aid in the preparation of statutory accounts from client trial balance, to incomplete records, when need.
  • To plan audit assignments Requirements:
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years in an Audit Manager role
  • Must be ACA /ACCA Qualified
  • Should possess superb IT skills
  • Will have a high audit focus in their current role (50%+)
  • Some prior experience with CCH is ideal • Must possess good technical knowledge
  • Able to work in high pressure situations and maintain standards

    The Role

    Advising on private company acquisitions and disposals – including both share and business/asset deals; Advising on private equity transactions, including investment agreements – acting for both private equity funds and management teams; Advising on joint ventures – for both private companies and LLPs Advising on private company reorganisations; Advising on general corporate matters including share buy-backs, distributions and corporate governance; Advising on ad hoc day-to-day corporate queries from clients; Initiating, building and maintaining effective client relationships; Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures; Pro-active participation in department and firm-wide marketing initiatives; Training and development of junior legal staff (where appropriate).

    The role

    Working closely with the firms employment team, you can expect to assist solicitors, and work alongside the Senior Immigration Paralegal, on business immigration matters, which include Tier 2 Sponsor Licences, compliance audits, PBS cases, Family Visas, Visitor Visas, Business Visitors Visas, Indefinite Leave to Remain and British nationality matters.

    Typical duties include, but are not limited to:-

    Completing business immigration application forms Liaising with clients, attending meetings to take instructions and minutes Filtering client calls Assisting with precedents and research Assisting with Business Development activities General client care, administration and ad-hoc tasks

    You would be able to help the team grow, and would take on duties such as

    Preparation of personal and corporate Tax Returns Dealing with clients and arranging submission to HMRC. Dealing with queries and assisting tax staff and Principals. Maintaining a record of Tax Returns and payments and ensuring all returns are filed and payments are made on time.

    Ideally you will have the following skills:

    ATT qualified or equivalent (support will be provided for those studying towards CTA). Good IT skills and technical ability. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
