AJ Chambers is working with a well-established, growing accountancy practice based in North West London. The firm are looking to take on an Accounts Senior and are willing to take individuals who can work fully remote.

What will you be doing?

You will be preparing statutory accounts, producing corporation tax computations for limited companies and other ad hoc duties. You will need to have the ability to review work or have the capability to gain the necessary skills required to achieve this. You will be allowed to prove yourself and you will have Partner level access and client communications on a regular basis.

You are likely to have supervisory responsibilities for a small number of staff, for example, accounts trainees or other colleagues within you team. You will provide on the job training and, as necessary, mentoring to help colleagues reach their full potential.

What is required of you?

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified and be experienced within a medium sized practice, you will have good working knowledge of UK GAAP and International Auditing Standards (UK and Ireland). Knowledge of FRS 102 and 102A would be useful. You will also have experience in delegating and supervising team members. You will also be able to deliver results and meeting client/Partner/Manager expectations. If your current split is around 75% Accounts and 25% Audit, that would be a preference, but candidates with 100% Accounts experience would still be of interest. 45

You will need to be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines and meet budgets, and have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. You would need to be IT literate with working knowledge of Xero would be an advantage. CCH & CaseWare knowledge would be an advantage. You will also need a good working knowledge of Excel and Word and be able to work well under pressure. In addition, you would need to be a team-player and be able to motivate your team.
