Semi Senior Client Manager - Top 25 firm

AJ Chambers is working with a Top 25 accountancy practice based in London who are looking for a Semi Senior Client Manager to join their growing team.

You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients and will advise them on a variety of matters, from their accounts to personal tax. This would suit a Part Qualified accountant looking to take the step up into a more senior position. You would be involved in managing the firms’ larger clients, conducting client meetings (both new business and existing clients), contributing to management decisions/suggestions/provision of information and undertaking a variety of work for limited companies and individuals.

What will you be going?

  • Responsible for your own portfolio of clients
  • Conducting meeting with new clients and having the ability to ‘sell’ our services and convey our brand
  • Conducting face to face meetings with clients to discuss their accounts and any related queries
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries by email and phone in a clear and timely manner
  • Provide ad-hoc tax advice to clients
  • Preparation of limited company accounts, corporation tax returns and computations. Reviewing/finalising
  • financial statements for presentation to the client, with no further management review
  • Preparation/review of VAT returns
  • Preparation/review of self-assessment tax returns
  • Confident in the use of a variety of cloud-based bookkeeping/accounting systems
  • Ad hoc duties as required
  • Be confident in supervision and review of junior/outsourced work
  • Be confident in being involved with management decisions

What is required of you?

  • Ability to develop excellent client and colleague relationships
  • Studying towards ACCA / ACA
  • Technically competent in VAT, personal and corporate tax
  • Experience gained within a professional services environment
  • Organisation skills that will enable you to prioritise work and work efficiently in order to meet target dates and filing deadlines
  • Strong IT skills – although training will be given on our in-house Accounts Production and Tax software a working knowledge of TaxCalc/Xero/QuickBooks would be an advantage.

    A highly established and highly regarded solicitors practice based just North of the City of London has an exciting Hybrid role for an experienced Legal Secretary in the Property Department.

    The firm provides a wide range of legal advice and assistance primarily to commercial and high net worth national and international clients.

    You will be responsible for assisting our solicitors in a variety of tasks including:

    Opening new matters on our case management system and dealing with AML & KYC requirements; Preparing correspondence and documents through digital dictation and word processing, organising, and filing documents; Carrying out conveyancing searches; Preparing and submitting applications to the Land Registry and dealing with post completion matters; Preparing financial statements and invoices; Diary management; General administration.

    Experience in a legal environment is essential.
