AJ Chambers is working with an award winning, Top 15 accountancy practice who are looking for an experienced Corporate Finance Manager / Senior Manager to join their growing Transaction Services team.

What will you be doing?

  • You will lead Transactional Services assignments and contribute further growth and development to the group
  • Prepare financial due diligence reports for acquisition, vendor and pre-lend assignments
  • Act as the key interface with clients to provide advice on acquisitions and fundraising, and support partners in the delivery of these engagements
  • Build ‘trusted-advisor’ relationships with clients appropriate for someone of a senior manager level
  • Assist with Report Accountant assignments for capital market transactions
  • Financial analysis to support clients in the preparation of financial models for business plans, valuations, and transaction models
  • Take charge of the development of client deliverables and coordinate the activities of the team in supporting their delivery
  • Competently review key transaction legal documentation (NDAs, Heads, SPAs, etc.) and provide insightful commercial commentary and mark-up
  • Take the responsibility for day-to-day management of projects to ensure the team meets deadlines and client expectations
  • Take responsibility for the review of work of junior team members (and provide feedback to them) and ensure it is ready to go to clients with minimal additional oversight from partners
  • Take responsibility for certain aspects of the day-to-day management of the team including HR matters e.g. appraisals, performance development
  • Devise and deliver internal training for junior team members
  • Devise and support the marketing activities of the wider Corporate Finance team both internally and externally and helping Partners to add to and maintain the pipeline of work
  • Attend meetings with clients, prospects and targets
  • Prepare pitch presentations, proposals and engagement letters
  • Act as an ambassador for corporate finance internally within the firm and represent the firm externally developing rapport with other professional advisers, investors and wider stakeholders

What is required of you?

  • ACA qualification (or equivalent)
  • 3-4 years’ transaction services experience post qualification
  • Sound business acumen
  • Specialist sector knowledge and demonstrable track record, in-depth understanding, and relationships in one (or more) of the firm’s areas of sector focus would be beneficial
  • Proven numerical and analytical skills and systematic problem solving
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Experience of working on multiple projects at once
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Organisation, planning and time management
  • Strong and confident interpersonal social skills and demonstrable emotional intelligence when dealing with the team and client communication
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills
  • Attention to detail in all written communication
  • Strong presence and credibility
  • A desire and willingness to learn and to develop new skills and techniques
  • Ability to juggle priorities and liaise with staff located in other offices
  • Highly IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Experian, and other M&A software applications)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a team

    Candidates will need to be c5 years PQE but a client following is not essential for the role.

    A medium sized Law Firm based in the West End has clear expansion plans and is looking to grow the Private Client team with an experienced Paralegal.

    Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in that area but they would also consider a NQ for this role, with market salary to reflect.

    As a Private Client Paralegal you will be specialising within a wide range of estate administration work, grants of representation, distribution of estates, inheritance tax returns, applications for probate, liaising with the private property team, collating capital gains tax information and drafting income tax returns.

    This is a new, currently small, department who are looking for support for the current fee earner with a view to building/expanding so this is a graet time to join the practice.
