AJ Chambers are working with a top 15 leading national advisory firm, who are seeking an Audit Senior Associate (Newly qualified or finalists) to join their growing Audit team in Peterborough.
As an Audit Senior Associate, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver quality and efficient statutory audit and other assurance engagements to your clients. You will work as part of a team to deliver the firms uniquely personal and proactive service, upholding the highest standards in client service.
The role
- You will work with an expansive and varied client base, including a number of large corporate clients and groups with turnover up to £500m
- lead the statutory audit engagement, from planning through to completion
- You will be involved in the preparation and review of group and single entity financial statements
- You will be working alongside the Partners and Managers to deliver advisory work including, preparation of financial forecast models, business plans, reporting on internal controls, financial due diligence and other ad hoc projects
- build and maintain strong relationships with your clients, being a key client contact
- supervise, coach and develop the audit team
· You will be provided regular technical training and soft skills development to help support your growth and progression
You
- You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or a finalist.
- You should have prior experience in an audit and accounts role, with emphasis on audit experience given this area of growth.
- You should be motivated, organised, commercially minded and have a clear perception of good client service. In addition, you should possess good interpersonal skills, demonstrate initiative and be able to provide accurate work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- You should display a flexible, professional approach, and have the confidence and ability to establish credibility with Partners and clients.
- Natural team player is essential, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Salary/Benefits
- Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
· A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-4pm
· Agile working policy giving you the option to work from home for up to 3 days per week
· Paid overtime or time off in lieu
· 25 days annual leave. After 5 years’ service, the entitlement will be increased by 1 day
· Contributory pension scheme (The firm will contribute 5% of salary on a matched basis with employee from their date of joining)
· Life assurance cover of 4 x annual salary
· Working from home allowance of £25 a month
· Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year. The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm. Payment is usually c£1,000. Paid in December
· New client referral scheme. Members of staff introducing a new client to the firm, have the potential to receive a referral payment of up to 10% of the first year’s total fees
