We’re working with a Top 20 firm in Guildford who are building a new Accounts & Advisory team. The focus is on preparing statutory accounts for audit clients, everything from medium-sized FRS 102 accounts to group consolidations. You’ll also play a big part in setting up processes, supporting juniors and helping the department grow.

The opportunity:

This isn’t just another account’s role. You’ll be at the heart of something new, taking ownership of technical work, shaping how the team operates, and sharing your knowledge with others. Over time, you’ll also have the chance to mentor new joiners and move into a bigger role as the team expands.

What you’ll be doing:

· Preparing statutory accounts (including groups and consolidations)

· Working closely with managers to set up processes and workflows

· Reviewing work and coaching junior staff

· Getting involved in department growth and development

· Using Caseware, CCH and other software to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs

· Building strong client relationships and adding real value

What we’re looking for:

· ACA / ACCA qualified (or close to qualifying)

· Background in accounts prep and/or audit within practice

· Good knowledge of FRS 102 and consolidations

· Familiar with Caseware / CCH (nice to have)

· Organised, proactive and happy to get involved in something new

· Supportive, approachable and a natural team player
