AJ Chambers are currently representing a Leading Independent Firm of Chartered accountants, actively seeking a talented Accounts Semi Senior to join their team based in St Albans.

The Team:
The accounts team offers a variety of accounting services, including bookkeeping, year-end account preparation, and tax return filing. They prioritise building strong relationships and serve as trusted advisors to a diverse clientele, predominantly owner-managed businesses. This allows you the chance to work closely with key decision-makers and significantly influence the direction of their companies.
The role:
· Handling moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including related tax computations.
· Reviewing the work of team members, as well as your own, before submission to the job manager.
· Proactively resolving client queries with minimal managerial input.
· Training and mentoring junior colleagues.
Requirements:
· AAT part/fully qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified
· Minimum of 2 years of experience within a reputable UK based accounting firm.
· Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
· Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Commitment to upholding professional ethics and integrity in all aspects of work.
