Responsibilities

  • Processing fortnightly, monthly & quarterly client payroll for various sized clients
  • Investigating unusual requests from clients on output figures.  
  • Providing reports to the client detailing data and cost analysis in the appropriate confidential method.

Key Activities:

AJ Chambers is working on a retained basis with a growing accountancy practice based in North Kensington. They are looking for a Senior Manager to join their team.

What will you be doing?

You will prepare and review accounts for limited companies to ensure compliance with UK GAAP under FRS105 and FRS102. You will prepare and review Corporation Tax and VAT returns. You will be responsible for the preparation of budgets for accounts work as well as consolidations. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team, review work of staff, ensuring quality in compliance with professional standards/requirements and delegate tasks effectively. You will be responsible for the training and development of direct reports and you will ensure Partner decisions on staff are promptly implemented.

What are they looking for?

You will need to be ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent, with at least 2 years post qualified experience. You will need previous managerial experience and be confident with delegating and managing staff. You will need strong interpersonal skills to manage internal relationships for clients and colleagues. You will need to be skilled at dealing with business owners and advising them on a range of commercial issues and ensure you are confident in a client facing position. You will need to maintain high standards of professional conduct and practice.
