AJ Chambers are currently working with an well established and growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Leicester, who are looking for an ambitious Audit and Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team.

 

As you can tell, this is an incredible opportunity for a driven and technically strong accountant to step up into a rewarding role which offers a high level of responsibility at an established firm. The role will be split between 70% accounts and 30% audit responsibilities.

 

Audit and Accounts Senior Duties:

Producing accounts for clients

Leading and assisting on statutory audits from planning to completion

Clearing review points and putting through adjustments to the accounts

To keep time records up to date on a day-to-day basis and complete timesheets

Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget

Supervising junior staff and assisting in training

Drafting client letters

Preparing VAT Returns

 

Audit and Accounts Senior Requirements:

Qualified ACA/ACCA or QBE

At least 4 years of experience gained in a practice setting

Accounts preparation experience gained in practice

Experience leading audits from planning stage to completion

First class communication skills and ability to liaise and form relationships with clients

Accuracy, deadline focused and the ability to work on their own initiative is crucial

    Essential:

    AJ Chambers are seeking a Tax Semi-Senior for a Mixed Tax role.

     

    This is an opportunity to join a well-regarded firm that ranks within the Top 100.

     

    The office is in Central London and is close to good transport links.

     

    This role will be a combination of general tax work, with high level international work mixed in.

     

    The responsibilities for Mixed Tax Semi-Senior:

     

    Managing a portfolio of clients Management includes frequent client communication Working on a variety of Personal Tax matters, including but not limited to: NRL returns, non-dom / non-res returns, CGT… Preparing Corporate Tax returns for both domestic and international clients Producing monthly reports for corporations Processing ATED returns Preparing research for cross boarder tax issues Learning from the mentorship of senior member of the team

     

    Preferred criteria of Mixed Tax Semi-Senior:

     

    2+ years of tax experience A willingness to develop Ambition to complete CTA Great multi-tasking skills A keen eye for detail

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Recording day to day financial transactions using Xero. Raising sales invoices, recording purchase invoices and posting bank payments. Maintaining records to the trial balance stage including managing and reconciling control accounts and month end journals for: - Prepayments - Accruals - Depreciation - Payroll - Rent free periods - Deferred / accrued income Preparing VAT returns Collaborating with other departments in the firm i.e. accounts preparation and personal tax
