Essential duties would include:

  • Oversee and manage clients' accounts, tax and value-added services assignments, to include monitoring progress against budget and established time frame, review of work completed by junior team members and resolving all issues prior to Partner review;

The requirements would be someone who is ACA/ACCA qualified, with at least a year post qualification experience.  a Proven track record in client relationship skills as well as  an excellent knowledge of accounting packages e.g. IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks etc

Broad accounts and tax knowledge with the ability to advise clients directly is a must. with experience in managing client assignments desirable

    Role Overview

The Role:

  • Working in a client facing position, supporting senior members of the team when required
  • Planning, aiding and finalising audit assignments
  • Carrying out fieldwork on audits
  • Assisting with supervision and training of the more junior members
  • Preparation of accounts from client records
  • Visiting client premises
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideally ACA/ACCA Part-Qualified or Finalist/Newly Qualified
  • Good technical knowledge of accounting and audit standards including FRS 102
  • Experience with a variety of software\'s, preferably CCH
  • Ability to show strong communicational/relations skills

A leading firm based in Hertford are seeking an Accounts Senior, to join their strong accounts team. This is a full time, Permanent role.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified; however, our client is willing to meet exceptional candidates if their experience is sufficient and they possess the necessary attributes.

Duties:

  • Supervision and preparation of management and statutory accounts
  • Preparation of personal tax computations and self-assessment tax returns
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns
  • Liaising with HMRC
  • Be the main point of contact and face of the company for clients within the portfolio, nurturing relationships and maintaining a high-level of quality at all times
  • Training and mentoring junior staff

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified, or finalist
  • Knowledge of Iris, QuickBooks and Sage
  • Recent, relevant experience in a practice environment
  • Knowledge of the areas mentioned in duties, however support will be provided if some experience is lacking
  • Good communication skills, both internally and externally
  • Self-motivated with an outgoing personality
  • Able to work in a fast-moving environment to tight deadlines
